Welcome to the Vango Eagle Isle Ultra website.

28th Aug-30th Aug 2010

Eagle Isle Ultra takes place on the rugged island of Mull on Scotland’s west coast. Starting at historic Duart Castle the event will see participants summit mountains, negotiate mountain ridges and isolated glens, pass rivers and lochs glistening with salmon and trout and tackle ancient forests and the legendary ‘Wilderness’ area of Mull.  After 120 km’s and three days, participants will descend on the beautiful town of Tobermory to cross the finish line.

A truly wild and stunning location, Mull abounds in wildlife and those taking on this challenge will almost certainly have the pleasure of watching the rare White-tailed and Golden Eagles as they cover the course.A word of warning though, the course has been set to be tough! After all, it’s only three days.

Latest News - 2010 Entries to open on 30th September.

Following the success of the inaugural Eagle Isle Ultra we are delighted to announce that entries for our 2010 event will open at the end of the month.

The entry fee has been fixed at £210 and given the interest already expressed, we are expecting to have to impose a yet to be determined entry limit.  As with all our events Eagle Isle Ultra will be run ‘expedition’ style – low numbers, an ethic of self-sufficiency and a support team capable of functioning in isolation of external assistance (helicopter excepted).

To ensure you are on the start line for 2010, download the entry form here and complete and return as instructed.
